Abstract

In this study sputtering in dc-plasma sputtering technique was used Alumina $\text{Al}_2\text{O}_3$ on $\text{Ti-20\%Co}$ alloy. This alloy (Titanium-Cobalt) is popular used for surgical implant because this alloy has a good mechanical properties high degree biocompatible, bioinert and osseointegrations with bone. This research is focusing on different sputtering parameters like the volts, sputtering time and gas pressure .It has been found a good result when applied 1200 Volt on the electrodes with time of 1:30 hour under $4 \times 10^{-3}\text{mbar}$ Argon gas pressure. The structural characteristics of the alloy studied before and after coating using X-ray diffraction technique the morphology of the surface specimens was investigated by the optical microscopy. The electrochemical tests of the $\text{Ti-20\%Co}$ alloy also before and after coating determinate in simulated body fluids. This examinations appears the behavior and characteristics Anodic and Cathodics polarization coefficients for various specimens tested.
